Despite Challenges, The Glass Guru Saw Record Growth in 2021

2021 was a challenging year for many businesses across North America. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the national labor shortage and the supply chain crisis, The Glass Guru managed to pull off another record year for growth. Recognized as a Top Recession Proof Franchise, the emerging brand has maintained steady year over year growth since its inception in 2004 and franchising in 2007.  The Glass Guru started the year with their 1st annual Digital Franchise Conference, with the theme of the event and the goal for the year to “Level Up” in the business. Looking back at 2022, it’s now clear they achieved their goal in multiple respects.  Up over $10m (25%) in systemwide revenue compared to 2020, also a record year, the organization boasts a +69.3% total increase in cumulative invoiced revenue in the previous 5 years. The brand also added 9 new franchise locations during 2021, starting the new year with 85 operating stores. Breaking into the top ranks for systemwide earnings, The Glass Guru ranked #396 on the Franchise Times 2021 Top 400 list. Based on franchise owner surveys and the overall performance as a brand, Franchise Business Review also recognized The Glass Guru in 2021 as a Top Franchise for Owner Satisfaction, Top Low-Cost Franchise, Top Franchise Culture, Most Innovative Franchise as well as a Top Franchise for Veterans.   75% of The Glass Guru franchise locations had record years for gross revenue in 2021, with a +9.37% gain in average job size and a +9.35% gain in average monthly revenue.  Coming off numbers like these, the franchisees and franchisors alike are looking forward to the year ahead. With forecasts for home services to continue to see a boom in demand, The Glass Guru is well positioned to maintain strong market growth in 2022 and beyond.
