New Ownership for The Glass Guru of Longview, TX
The Glass Guru Franchise recently celebrated the addition of new franchise owners for two locations in May 2020. The organization saw Mike Kirkindoll come aboard as a new franchise owner, having purchased The Glass Guru of Longview, TX from the previous franchise owner. Not coincidentally, Mike’s brother Gary and Gary’s wife LeeAnn are franchise owners who recently purchased the neighboring franchise territory, The Glass Guru Tyler, TX. The brothers have the advantage of “coming up” in the business together. Mike Kirkindoll affected the purchase of his Longview,TX location from previous owner Scott Wright, who’d grown and nurtured it since opening the location in 2015. Mike, Gary, and LeeAnn Kirkindoll all completed their initial franchise training at the company’s North American headquarters in Roseville, CA, and completed their sessions on May 15, 2020. This training was the culmination of a detailed location opening checklist that new franchisees navigate, with the assistance and facilitation of dedicated franchise professionals at the franchisor. Mike joins The Glass Guru’s ranks, coming from one of many diverse professional backgrounds exhibited by the company’s franchise owners. Mike is a native of Longview, TX. After graduating from Kilgore Jr. College, Mike found his way into the oil and gas business. In 2000, he started his own business offering Landman services to companies that perform gas and oil exploration and production. His firm specializes in researching titles and mineral rights to negotiate with property owners for those mineral rights on behalf of a company wishing to exploit the minerals beneath the surface of privately owned land. Mike and brother Gary had long talked about opening a business together. Little did they know that they’d both be able to buy into the same organization, and at the same time of their own locations. Once they had a chance to look at the company history, the recognition The Glass Guru has received from industry and business publications, and the numbers, the decision was an easy one.
My brother and I were pursuing an option in business to work together. We found The Glass Guru, met the people who own and run the business and decided to join! I’m very excited to be able to own a business and work in the community that I grew up in. I see the business growing rapidly in the next 2 years. I look forward to working with all the leaders in the community and making The Glass Guru a capable and dependable part of the community.” Mike Kirkindoll | Franchise Owner – The Glass Guru or Longview
Like all franchise owners before them, Mike leveraged The Glass Guru’s proven franchise process to find out if the franchise opportunity was right for them. Mike expressed a great deal of satisfaction about the location opening process, the materials presented during ramp-up and during franchise training, and that the Initial Franchise Training at the Glass Guru headquarters was well organized, and presented information in a way that was easy to understand. He also expressed that his favorite part of the entire process was meeting a number of successful franchise owners, along with the franchise support team as the company’s headquarters. Mike’s vision of where the business was going to go has already started to come to fruition. Over the past 8 weeks, Mike has dedicated his time to transitioning into the business. In that short time, the Longview, TX location has seen tremendous gains. The franchise hit the $25K benchmark ($25,000 in monthly revenues) in Mike’s 2nd month at the helm, and the franchise shows signs of continued growth. If current numbers are any indication, Mike and The Glass Guru of Longview, TX have many years of success ahead of them.
